Announcer:

Welcome to another episode of the Bald Guys on the Bench podcast, with your hosts Graham Cohen and Scott Wasco.

Scott:

What's up everyone, and welcome back to another episode of the bald guys on the bench. I'm here with my boy, graham, in Vegas. It's Sunday night. We're watching a little Vegas Knights hockey up two to nothing. Eight minutes left in the game. Graham, what's up?

Graham:

brother. Hey, you know, another Sunday night, another episode. I'm glad to be spending it with you but, bro, you know what we like to do when rambling together about sports. It's time to grab one and crack one, bro, I thought you'd never ask let's go.

Scott:

And I'm just going to go out on the record and say this is the only beer I'm going to drink tonight, because I got a transfusion in the cup next to me. I'm not feeling beer tonight, but I'm going to power through this one and let's go. But something, graham, what a champion. Oh you know, twist my arm right. Uh, something, graham, and I mentioned a couple of weeks ago. We've got these listeners across the world, in Paris, new Zealand, japan and the Ukraine. If I left any of you out, my bad. Can you do Graham and I a favor? Can you email the show? Tell us how you discovered our show, and you know just a little small talk. Email address, and this goes for anybody that listens If you want to chat, you want to answer, you want to ask us a question? Email address baldguysonthebench at gmailcom. Hit us up, ask us a question. Ask if it never mind. I was gonna say something really rude, but anyhow, I'm not don't be a dick, I'm not, I'm not, I'm not.

Graham:

That's why I took it back look, we want to hear from you. You got something to say. You want to ask us shoot it, and if it's good enough, maybe we'll post it on the episode, so we'll see what happens. Yeah.

Scott:

But the main thing is these people across the country. Let us know how you found us. We're intrigued, we want to know, we want to know. But anyhow, enough about that, graham. How was your weekend? I mean, we know your weekend is Wednesday and Thursday, but you know how was your weekend Saturday and Sunday? You know, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Graham:

Right, no, no, no. Um. Well, my quote unquote weekend a few days ago it was pretty good, just relaxed, um, caught up on. Quote unquote weekend a few days ago was pretty good, just relaxed, um, caught up on some things that I do around the house, uh. But the quote unquote everyone else's weekend, uh, I basically worked and, boy, let me tell you, got my ass kicked and um, it was. I went. I can't say it was fun, the money was nice, but, um, I mean it was a brutal day today. I mean it was sunny out it says it was supposed to be 74, but that wind was whipping out on the course. Today it was freezing. I don't know how those people played, but you know, had a good shift today. Yesterday was good, but other than that, watched a little G on the TV, got a little disappointed, but it is what it is. What about you? How was your weekend?

Scott:

A lot of the same Worked yesterday, played a little golf Crazy Finally getting out on the golf course it was 74 degrees and then now it's 30. So welcome to Southeast Virginia in March. You know, just give it an hour and the weather's going to change. But went out last night for Buddy's birthday, buddy's wife's birthday and Ava had a ring dance. So we had a bunch of you know girls over here and their dates hanging out before the dance and it was cool. It's like I was talking to TP last night. We were talking about it and I sent him a picture and he was like God, where's the time gone? And I'm like yeah, right. And I'm like she's a junior, like it's March this time next year. It's almost over, dude for high school, I mean.

Graham:

Bro dude for high school, I mean Bro newsflash. Yeah, You're turning 47.

Scott:

That's not the crazy thing. The crazy thing is she's turning 17.

Announcer:

I know, I know.

Graham:

In three weeks. I mean I remember In three weeks, I know. I mean I remember when I could hold her in my hand and see when she was a baby.

Scott:

Yeah, it's crazy, it's weird, I mean I don't know, but you know it's nuts, but anyhow it was a good weekend. Watched some golf, you know, chatted with our boy Romano, who caddies for Fowler, a little bit over the weekend We'll get into that in a few minutes. But other than that, went over to my sister-in-law's house tonight for my niece's birthday and you know, came home, got the nights on, thank God, we got an early game, not a 10 o'clock start, but and getting ready for tonight with you. Other than that, you know, that's about it Off tomorrow, pretty pumped about that, and that's about it off tomorrow, pretty pumped about that. And uh, that's it. So let's just, I mean, go ahead and, I guess, jump right into what used to be called the honda classic, which is, you know, now the pga tour cognizant classic, I don't know whatever how many times you have to practice that before you just say that correctly?

Scott:

it took me about 12 times to look it up on the PGA Tour app to learn how to spell it for the notes. I could say it, I just couldn't spell it. So you know, I don't know.

Graham:

Before we even get into it.

Scott:

You know, last week I hit what I thought was a no-brainer bet, graham and I hit it, and that was Steven Yeager, top 20, right, yeah, top 20. Hit it. So we're walking into this week at PGA National. I'm like Graham, I got a great feeling, bro. Lowry Daniel Berger, top 20. They're both plus money. Graham's like how confident are you? And I'm like, well, I'm really confident on Berger and I'm about 85% confidence on Lowry. Well, berger goes out. What did he shoot? Seven, eight under the first day. Like we're like let's go. Yeah. Lowry's like four or five under. I mean, the scoring was ridiculous. The first round, I mean Knapp 59. Thanks for playing Right. First ever round under 60 in the state of Florida, which, graham, I had to prove to him because he didn't think that was real. We're not even getting into that at all.

Graham:

But hold on a second. We're not getting into it, but just as an overall thing. Isn't that surprising to you?

Scott:

Not really Think about the courses they play in Florida. They're not easy, fair, they're not playing PGA West, arnold Palmer.

Announcer:

Yeah when your boy here is hitting five irons into par fives. If I'm hitting a five iron, they're hitting nines.

Scott:

Okay.

Announcer:

All right, fair point they are, they play Doral.

Scott:

They play Bay Hill, they play PGA National, tpc, sawgrass, you know but Right, and the dude had a putt for 58. I know, right, and he dude had a putt for 58. I know right, and he missed like a 12-footer on 17. I mean stud.

Graham:

I mean, what a round of golf, dude.

Scott:

That's all I can say.

Graham:

His misses, the very few that he had. I mean he was burning those edges, yeah, I mean he was fighting.

Scott:

It was sick. It was sick, but you know. Back to, we'll get into the betting part. I don't know Whatever we pushed. That's all I'm going to say. Thanks a lot.

Scott:

Daniel Berger, the one person we didn't think we had to worry about going into today because you're sitting there in seventh place, lowry was what? 34th, going into today. 35th, yeah, goes going into today. 35th, yeah, goes out early, shoots four under. Thanks for playing. Top 20, is it? And then Berger decides he's going to go out and shoot two over on the back. Nine to finish 25th and thanks for playing.

Scott:

We push our bets, but you know, that's why it's called betting. It's not guaranteed Facts, unfortunately. But, dude, I don't know about you, I don't know if you got to watch it live, but there's this new thing that happened a couple years ago, called the pga tour you, where they automatically get their pga tour card and Ludwig was the first person to ever get it and it goes by points, by college wins, by national amateur tournaments, by top finishes, by making a cut when you qualify for a PGA Tour event, yada, yada, yada. Right, you get your tour card. Luke Clanton, all he had to do was make the cut at the American Express Championship in Palm Springs, had a putt to make the cut on the last hole, missed it, missed the cut, didn't get his tour card. Got in this week. Make a cut. And he's a player at Florida State Make the cut, you get your tour card.

Scott:

Well, not only does he make the cut, dude, he finishes tied for 18thth, but he makes birdie on his 36th hole. To finish, I think he was eight under through two days. I mean, are you kidding me? This is a college player. Dude's a stud. We've talked about him numerous times, but to see the emotion as he walked off the green and his whole family was there was so awesome to me. It's why I love it's. Part of golf that is amazing to me is to see the emotion, cause it's yeah, it's not a team sport, but you got a team behind you. You know you got your mom and your dad that drove you around to a million junior tournaments, right.

Announcer:

I got a coach you.

Scott:

You know it's just amazing, but it's pretty amazing. It's awesome. Dude's got his tour card. So if he turns pro at the end of he said at the end of the college season he might turn pro and he might not, but he still has the option. If he goes back for his last year, he has the option to get his tour card when he finishes his senior season. That's cool, at least it's amazing, dude.

Scott:

Dude can just flat play some golf. Wow, wow, ain't mad at that. He got a little crooked off the tee today. The course firmed up, got a little windier. We saw what happened to our boy fowler couldn't hit a fairway. He was, his putter was saving him on the front nine and then it just, you know, you got to hit a fairway when the greens are that fast and and firm. Yeah, and he couldn't. So you know, still solid finish, you know, tied, for I think he was tied for 18 too.

Scott:

Um, but this dude Highsmith I mean goes out and shoots 700 a day. He was 110 to 1 to win the tournament. Dude, before it started, who Dude? I listened to his interview after and his mom was on the way that was going to leave today to fly home and he goes Mom, what if I go out? And you know he was a lot back? He goes what if I go out and shoot five under on the front? You're still going to leave. Well, thank God she didn't you know? Yeah right, his mom's an avid golfer and he actually said in his interview that the day he was born his mom hit golf balls. What I love it, dude Love it the day he was born, moms was hitting balls Love it.

Scott:

What can you say to that Right, Pretty amazing. Now he gets to play at Augusta. You know pretty sick, Pretty sick I. He gets to play at Augusta. You know pretty sick, Pretty sick.

Graham:

I mean not bad.

Scott:

Nice day's work. I just wish he'd change his choice of hats Because I mean, come on, bro, the bucket hat thing. I mean it's cool if you're Joel Damon, it's not even a bucket hat.

Scott:

It's that big-ass sun hat I mean. Crocodile Dundee said can I get one of those? But whatever, not sure if you're familiar with this. Tomorrow Seminole, the amazing golf club down in Florida where all these tour guys are members. Tomorrow's the annual pro member event and a lot of people say and this is weird because it's not an official event A lot of people say this has the best field in golf. Okay.

Graham:

That's not a major Maybe even majors.

Scott:

Wow, dude.

Graham:

That's a statement.

Scott:

People that aren't exempted to the majors are playing in this thing and I don't know if you've seen t times. I don't know if you've seen who's playing. Uh, I mean tigers playing with seth wall, the ceo of the pga of america. Tom brady's playing. I mean you name, of course you name the tour player. He's playing, right, but um, I'll send it over to you. I did a screenshot. I meant to send it to you earlier, but it's just got their t times on it, um, but anyhow, it's a pretty big deal. It's an annual thing. I just wish they allow people out there. Only members are allowed to watch, obviously, seminole being the exclusive place it is. Take a look.

Announcer:

I just texted it to you.

Scott:

It's pretty crazy. Rory's playing with his dad. I mean, it's a field bro.

Graham:

I mean a buddy of mine that I used to caddy with back in Manhattan Woods. He caddies down at Seminole during the offseason. His winter is down there, so he's been at Medalist and then now he's over at Seminole during the off season. Yeah, his, you know, his winter is down there, so he's he's been at medalist and then now he's over at Seminole. I mean, you know, not a bad, yeah, two clubs to work for Right.

Scott:

Exactly. But speaking of Tiger, word on the street is he'll be playing at the players championship in a couple of weeks.

Graham:

Hey, and he needs a little, needs a little tune-up a little swing oil, for you know it's coming a little later.

Scott:

You know what I'm saying and here's what I was going to. I've been waiting to tell you. You know why he's playing at TPC. This is the last year he's exempt to play in that tournament.

Graham:

Holy shit, dude, it's tiger. Freaking woods, bro. Who's not giving him an exemption if he made a call it's tiger I'd like to see the turn.

Scott:

I'd love to see the tournament organizer who has the balls when I read to be like nah, like I was telling you earlier, I'm like I'm going to say something that I read today that I never thought I would ever read in my life, and that is that Tiger's not exempt into a golf tournament and he's not.

Announcer:

Oh, my God, right, he's not.

Scott:

Mind-blowing dude. I was talking to my dad and I'm like he's like, I'm sorry, what did you just say? Wild, wild as shit, but keeping it on the tiger thing, did you see? You know, his daughter won the state, the florida state high school soccer championship, last night, did you? No, I did not.

Scott:

Oh, dude, there's something I don't know who put it out there but they said compare these two pictures and it's tiger. After he made the last putt in 2019 to win the masters, where he's like this and. And then, as the clock struck zero, when his daughter won this high school state championship and he's in the same pose, dude, it was tear jerking. And then, as he does it, he's like right in the middle of all the soccer moms and soccer dads and everybody, and the clock strikes zero and there's video. And he's like right in the middle all the soccer moms and soccer dads and everybody, and the clock strikes zero and there's video. And he's like right in the middle, high five and everybody. It's so awesome. Like we said, when Charlie made the hole in one, we got to see tiger be a dad that we never got to see. We got to see it again.

Graham:

Yeah, yeah, no, you're right, it's. It makes sense. It was awesome dude. Awesome people are just people. I mean obviously some are yeah, I agree, but it's.

Scott:

You know, when tiger was the dominant tiger, we never got to see anything like that. We got to see him hug his. We got to see him hug his dad. We got to see him hug moms, but he was so off the radar. The older Tiger we're seeing the personality of Tiger. You know what I mean? Does that make sense? Oh, 100%, but it was truly amazing. It was awesome. You could just see how the joy in his face when you know it was cool and right in the middle of everybody, just high five at them. You know it was sick. Imagine being a kid on you know, a parent and your kids on tiger, you're like that's my motherfucker, we're high five and we just won the state championships. Let's go, tiger. Tiger, what you buying us to drink tonight?

Graham:

Yeah, right, what you getting us? We're going out for pizza everyone.

Scott:

Yeah, it's your restaurant, bro. Yeah, right, but I don't know. Back to Fowler and romance. Fowler played his dick off dude for three days. You know, in romance, fowler played his dick off dude for three days, Didn't have his best yesterday and still grinded on around, uh, under par round. You know his games on the right side. You know, talking to romance, you saw it. I was like the putting strokes back. It looks like he's not thinking about it anymore and he was rolling the shit out of it dude, it was, it was awesome. And he was rolling the shit out of it, dude, it was awesome. And you know he just didn't hit fairways today. And, like I said earlier, you know the course got firm, the wind started blowing and you know you had to hit fairways.

Graham:

But I don't know. That's one thing about golf hitting fairways.

Scott:

It's you know kind of important I mean not the most, but Unless you're playing in Palm Springs or the waste management, where the roughs you know that deep I mean. But yeah. You know it's what it is. So Bay Hill's up next, dude.

Announcer:

Arnie's.

Scott:

Place Yep, and word came out the other day, fowler and Speieth notified they are not getting sponsor exemptions into the event. What, instead? I forget the dude's name. That's how much this irritates the living out of me, a Canadian dude. And then Arnold Palmer's grandson, sam Saunders' best friend, grew up a member at Bay Hill and he got the other exemption. All right, let me ask one question. We've talked about it for weeks Ratings on golfer down. You're going to deny two of the most popular people on tour and exemption for Tweedledee and Tweedledum that I literally texted you their names two days ago and don't even remember. And I'm a golf pro that makes a living in the game. Who dot, dot, dot, dot dot cares?

Graham:

What do we like to say? Make it make sense.

Scott:

I don't know, I don't get it. I don't get it Granted. Yeah, did they have shitty years last year? Yeah, jordan was hurt, ricky was playing bad, whatever, but they're still names. They still draw people Back. When back? I'll never forget.

Scott:

Joey Scovern that now cut caddies for Ludwig when he was caddying for Rick. I'll never forget tailgating at a Charger game. And he goes, scott. It's amazing because Rick back then has the third biggest gallery of anybody Obviously Tiger, obviously Phil, he goes. But then Rick had the third biggest gallery of anybody obviously tiger, obviously Phil, he goes. But then Rick had the third biggest and he goes. The thing about Rick is he had all walks of life. He had the little kids walking around with the flat bills, he said, and he said he had the you know 20 year old girls, cause he's, you know, leonardo DiCaprio, he goes. And then he had the old ladies because they're like, oh, ricky, he's so cute. Joe was like he had all walks of life, you know, yeah, and him and Arnie were like this dude, rick and Arnie were like that.

Scott:

Just to even say that is pretty fucking cool, you think I mean, why do you think puma does the arnold palmer collection with the umbrellas and stuff all over? Because of rick's relationship with the king dude? I don't know. Anyhow, it's a fun event. Bay Hill, you know ball striking. Here we go Golf course hard as shit. But I don't know, man I'm, I'm bummed for romance, I'm bummed for him. But you know, let's get it going. I mean, they got some momentum today. T shots, let them down. You know, today, whatever it is, what it is, it's golf. I mean, talk about Taylor Montgomery leading the golf tournament yesterday and then makes quad on 15. Right, not only did he make quad, my guy shot three under with a quad on his scorecard.

Graham:

Let that sink in folks.

Scott:

Three under with four over on one hole, and then Knapp dude Knapp's cruising right along, and then he makes dub today on 11. He gone. Golf is not easy.

Graham:

No At all. It is definitely not. Not easy. I don't know what you got. Come on. That's why Tiger's the man.

Scott:

Yeah, but he's not exempt. What Could you imagine? I I wish you could have seen my face when I'm reading that and I'm going what we're talking about? The tiger right, like we're not talking about, like kitty, cat or something. We're like talking about tiger right, like the tiger eldrick, like we're talking about him, or tony the tiger, yeah, we're talking about. I'm like wait what? But I mean it makes sense I don't know makes sense on paper, it don't make sense in your brain.

Graham:

I can tell you that yeah, I mean, I thought they were supposed to be getting the viewers, not exactly that's.

Scott:

That's the thing. It's not tpc's rules, it's, you know, pga tours rules, how you're exempt for events and how long you get an exemption for wins and this, and that I mean you won the masters in 19, so I think you get a five-year exemption. Yeah, maybe, I don't know, but I don't know. It's weird, doesn't make sense at all. So as we wrap up, golf the sport we love to talk about a lot the NFL. They started their combine this week, yes, sir, in Indianapolis. Combine this week, yes, sir, in Indianapolis.

Scott:

And you know something I've never really dug in to and done a lot of research on is the Combine right? I don't know why. I mean, I understand the purpose of it, purpose of it, but from the podcast I've been listening to this year about the combine, everybody's basically said the same thing and that is the combine. The focus has kind of changed from workouts you know, which they all do to the interview process. They want to know the personality of the players. Obviously, you want to know your drafting, especially in the first round that you're spending millions of dollars on and each team you only get 15 minutes with each person. Yeah, it's crazy.

Scott:

Dude, they got a lot of people I know, and to me, what I've taken away from everything that I've learned this year and I could be totally wrong is the combine benefits more of the players in the later rounds. Yes, Does that make sense? 100%? You know the big guys. They're going to be in the first round. You know if you've noticed the number one and number two ranked quarterbacks coming out this year. You know Cam, ward and sanders. They didn't even throw.

Scott:

And when I were talking about it earlier, why not? Well, it makes sense because after the combine, all these universities have their what they call their pro days. So as a quarterback, you either go to the combine and you throw to these receivers you have no communication skills with, or they don't know your style and they don't catch the ball. Is that your fault as a passer? No, but it's not a completion. Or then you throw at your university where you're throwing to your wide receivers you've had a connection with for x amount of years. Makes sense to me? You could argue both things. And you said to me earlier yeah, but when they go to the NFL they're going to be throwing the players. Yeah, but they also have this thing called an off season, OTAs, rookie mini camps. You know by the time it matters. They know what's going on.

Graham:

Yeah, but I mean devil's's advocate, don't you think throwing people they don't know, wouldn't that you know? I mean, yeah, it's not, as I don't say as great, but it's just like yo, if you can make it work with people you don't know, that should help your stock.

Scott:

I don't disagree with you at all, yeah, but and last night when we were out celebrating Billy's wife Pascal's birthday, they had it on the TV at the bar and Billy looks at me and he goes this is so stupid, we're watching people run the 40. And I'm like I agree. And he goes why don't they put these dudes in pads? They don't play football like this. Let's see them run the 40 in pads. And I'm like you got a great point. Then I start thinking about my boy from the first episode that my daughter threw up in his house TD. You know what his 40 time was at the combine as a running back.

Scott:

Not good, it was like 4-6. That's why he was a sixth-round pick. But you know what? How'd that work out? Hall of Fame.

Graham:

Hey, things work out for a reason, brah.

Scott:

You know I understand the linemen and this, and that I mean when you're going to see an offensive lineman run 40 yards down the field, you're not because you're running backs. You're running backs 20 yards in front of him. Homeboys getting oxygen on the sideline.

Graham:

This isn't the eighties, bro, this is the NFL Off?

Scott:

offensive linemen are blocking downfield. I'm not saying they're not blocking downfield, I'm just saying they're not blocking 40 yards downfield in a stop to yeah, running straight.

Scott:

No, I like the drills where they're going around cones and doing this and doing that. That's fun, you know. That's fun to watch for me, but I don't know. Another thing that I took from all the podcasts, the three and out. If you don't listen to three and out podcasts, dude, you're not educating yourself about football. It's awesome, it's really good, yeah, no, it. Educating yourself about football it's awesome, it's really good, yeah, no it's a good podcast.

Scott:

It's a good podcast and dude one of their sponsors sold me. I like to help out people that I like their podcasts and buy shit. Our first sponsor we're going to get on here Mando Deodorant. Dude my shit is, when you got a 14 year old son, that that stinks. Mando deodorant bro. Go on, mando, get the starter pack. Promo code is john. I'm helping you out here, john, here, buddy. You know three and I'll podcast. I'm helping you out here, john. Here, buddy you know three-an-hour podcast.

Scott:

I'm helping you look better than you already look. Dude starter pack. You get spray deodorant. You get a bar, you get some body wash. You even get some wipes, like you're at the gym and you stink. You got to go to work. Dude, 72-hour protection yeah, they have, bro. I bought some. I was a sucker. Whatever. Shit's legit bro. No aluminum free. That's a new thing, I guess now. But let's go.

Graham:

Folks, he's not even. We're not even getting paid for this. We have no copy. I know.

Scott:

We have no script.

Graham:

He's just pulling up at a door, and it's funny. You do know they're on like SportsCenter they, I don't care, you've never noticed their commercials.

Scott:

I support the things that entertain me.

Graham:

I'm just saying they're on the channels that you watch.

Scott:

That's why I find it hilarious that whatever In a commercial you think I'm paying attention. I'm like every other mother effer in the world. I'm on my phone. Yeah, I mean I ain't watching no goddamn commercial.

Graham:

So when you're in the car got nowhere to go, you got nothing else to do except hear that commercial. You got to know how to help your 14 year old son be less stinky got it anyhow, combine.

Scott:

Another thing about the combine that I've I learned that I was getting into before. I gave mando a free promo. You're welcome, can you pay me?

Announcer:

Yeah, with that Patreon dude.

Scott:

hit that, hit that. Bald guys on the bench at Gmail email Mando. It's more. It's all the GMs, all the agents. You know this is where business is getting done. You know what happens in a couple of weeks free agency.

Scott:

And we saw what happened with Stafford. All the drama. You got permission to go talk to whoever you want. Get a trade. Dude. The Raiders offered him almost a hundo guaranteed and he said no, came back to the Rams. All that drama with Stafford Do you blame him? No, absolutely not. But all that drama staff Do you blame him? No, absolutely not. But all that drama is bullshit. My wife doesn't like the younger players. Yada, yada, yada, yada. And then he comes back to the Rams. Is it the best place for Stafford? Duh, we all knew that Right. But you know he's back with the Rams. Now they're saying Cooper Cup might be cut if they can't trade him. Well, you're not trading him with that salary. Nobody's taking that up, taking that salary cap on. At least, I don't think so. I don't know. I don't think he's. I mean, when they won the Super Bowl, yeah, that was an amazing year, but you know whatever. Then last night I'm at the bar Dude Niners got rid of Debo to Washington.

Graham:

Dude the amount of ham sandwiches that have been given out.

Announcer:

Yeah, but dude For player acquisitions yeah they're trying to cut salary.

Scott:

I understand. Everybody's like a fifth round pick for Debo. Yeah, they're cutting salary. Okay, they just got 18 mil off their books. Washington's like number two in salary cap this year and it's only for one year guaranteed. Do I think Washington is going to extend him? I hope so, but even if they don't think about it, they only gave up a fifth round pick. Where did Washington finish their season in the NFC championship? What are they picking? 29? Yeah, that's a late pick, you know. Yeah, not saying it couldn't's a late pick. You know. Yeah, not saying it couldn't be a future stud, but I'm saying, you know, debo paired with scary Terry, jane, daniels, cliff.

Graham:

That's going to be a fun offense.

Scott:

Yeah, if he can hold onto the ball, if you can say healthy, yeah, right. And something I totally forgot about the cornerback that now plays for the eagles, that used to play for the lions. They had some beef and some twitter exchanges back in the day about when he was calling Debo a running back playing wide receiver and calling him out about not being able to run routes and this and that. Well, he said something again last night. I wish I would have screenshotted it. Dang it, it was awesome. They're already battling it out, and here you go. They're already battling it out, and here you go.

Scott:

But now that Washington adds him next to Scary Terry, word on the street is they're going to cut Eckler to get younger at the running back position to pair up with Bryan Robinson. It's time to work on defense, you know, because defense is what let them down against the Eagles and turnovers. Right, I mean sorry, forgot about that part. You know, because defense is what let them down against the Eagles and they and turnovers. Right, I mean sorry, forgot about that part but I mean it is what it is.

Scott:

Yeah, allen requested a trade from the Redskins. They're big time defensive end or defensive lineman. I guess he's owed 16, 17. He was in the original deal for Debo and Washington wouldn't take on any of his salary, so that got nixed.

Graham:

But look, the official year hasn't started yet.

Scott:

Right.

Graham:

Cause it was at March 15th right Something like that.

Graham:

At this point it's just everything is just so much speculation. Speculation, Obviously, some moves have been made, yes, but until actual things happen, it's just like I mean, yeah, Is it exciting? Because there's nothing else. I don't want to say nothing else, but because we're such big football fans that it's just like, oh, let's just hear anything we can hear about possible news and let's just get excited about it, which is great. But then you're just like all right, a day later it's like, oh no, that's water under the bridge, Like this whole Stafford thing. It's like, thanks for nothing. Yeah, you texted me after it happened.

Scott:

You're like thanks for all that drama or something like that.

Graham:

Yeah, and the craziest part is the league would have been so different, the shifts in how teams would have drafted, where players would have gone. Like imagine if Stafford went somewhere, then that would have changed. Where Russ wouldn't, that would have changed. Where Rodgers went, that would have changed what teams are drafting the quarterbacks where they're drafting at. You know what I mean. Like there's pieces to everything and you're just like, well, if he goes and this happens, and now that he doesn't, it's just like all right. I guess it's just back to what we thought was going to happen or what it could be, you know, and it's just like all right, what's the next domino to fall? So I'm just you know, don't tickle us, bro. I'm tired of getting tickled, I just want.

Scott:

See, I like the tickle, I'm sure you do. I like it because you never know what's going to happen. You know, my team there's not a lot of tickling because we have a quarterback. My team the tickle is okay, free agency, who are we going to go after? Your team, there's a big-ass tickle and it's that position that touches the ball every time called the quarterback, right, I mean? Correct me if I'm wrong. You have one quarterback on your roster right now, right, and that's the third. And who is that? I don't even know what it is. I'm not being a smart ass, I'm just yeah.

Graham:

I feel like I just smacked my own self. It's the kid from.

Scott:

Sorry.

Graham:

I wasn't trying to. Who is the kid's name? I can't even tell you I've drawn a blank right now.

Scott:

This is terrible, I feel yeah, I don't know what you guys are gonna do it's gonna it do.

Graham:

I'm telling you it. We look, we have glaring needs at defensive line. So the fact that we're going to double, like my point is this the quarterback that we would even consider taking in the draft is not going to, is going to go at a point where we, or where I would not want to take him, and where is that and who are you talking?

Announcer:

about.

Graham:

Okay, when do you think the kid from Old Miss is going? Where do you think the kid from Where's Ewers going? Where's the kid? I mean, are we talking day two? I think Day three? Dark's going to go day two. Okay, that's fine, Folks. Day two is still second and third round. Steelers are not using the second round pick On a quarterback. They learned from the Kenny Pickett experience. I promise you that. And look, they'll sign Fields. They'll get another backup Dude. We can bring back Mason Rudolph and have him be our second string. I'm just saying there are things to do. Look, Pittsburgh is not. I mean, I hate to say this, but like Graham, it's the most important position on your team.

Graham:

Which quarterback in this draft is going to lead us to the Super Bowl?

Scott:

Go ahead, I'm not saying there is one, but you're arguing you don't want to take a quarterback in the second round.

Graham:

No, I'd rather pay Fields and get two stud defensive tackles. Bro, we couldn't stop the run.

Scott:

I'm not saying you're wrong At all. I'm just saying if Fields goes somewhere else, Russ goes somewhere else he's not, we're going to keep one of them.

Graham:

I would think they want to keep Fields because he was going to be. He'd be cheaper. You would think how much interest I mean, let's be real how much interest does Fields really have as a starter In your opinion?

Scott:

percentage wise, okay, so two, three teams yeah I'm just saying like look at, look at what baker did last year tampa, let him go go talk as a free agent. Drove up the price, yeah, and came back, and he came back, but he drove up the price, yeah, and came back and he came back, but he drove up the price.

Graham:

I'm not saying I'm not I agree with you, but Baker and Justin Fields are two completely different quarterbacks. A hundred thousand percent, I mean Baker proved more in that time, Marginally more.

Scott:

Hey Fields was four and two as a starter.

Graham:

I hate when people say that I mean, yeah, we were, but if you watch the gameplay you'd be like that's the ugliest 4-2 I've ever seen.

Graham:

So I mean, obviously it all comes down to the wins and losses obviously but you want to get blown out, like the Chiefs, or you want to keep it close, like their matchup three years ago, where it comes down to the last game. You know what I mean Same teams, two completely different outcomes, and that's just how I feel that our team was. And it's just like, when you can't stop the run puts presser on the back end. You know, jpj got hurt for those couple of games, you know. And plus, when you can't stop the run, then the back end gets hurt. It's just like TJ wasn't getting a lot of pressure. So it's just like, if you dude the amount of times the Steelers' defense was on like second and three yeah, that's not During the regular season that sucks.

Graham:

Third and three, third and two. Yeah, you can't get off the field that way, bro. You know what I mean. And it's just like most of their.

Scott:

Especially when they're gashing you running the ball, because now you.

Graham:

That's what I'm saying, dude. I love Cam Hayward, but he's 35 years old. Like we need to revamp the D-line.

Scott:

You know, I like where our linebackers are at, I will say this this is the draft to revamp the D-line.

Graham:

That's what I'm saying.

Scott:

So Remember what I said to you last year Before the season started about your defense, when everybody was hyping the Steelers defense you just got homeboy from the Ravens I can't even think of his name the middle linebacker Queen, and I said if you guys average 20 points a game, you're going to go what? 12 and whatever.

Graham:

Well, guess what? We went 10 and three and then finished, yeah, 10 and 10 and seven. So let's just say it is what it is when it comes to that. So I, I feel you, but I just like. Pittsburgh won't say they're in a rebuild, but it's just, I think they're a couple pieces away.

Scott:

Right.

Graham:

Dude, if Pittsburgh could have stopped the run, that's what I'm saying. If we keep fields and they stop the run and, oh, I don't know, our offensive line comes back healthy, oh, we could have. Dude, we didn't have our first and second round pick play one down last year. I agree, you ever heard of Roman Wilson?

Announcer:

Well, I know you have because he's from your.

Graham:

Yeah, but that's what I'm saying. It's just like look, you got to play with who you have and who's available. I get that.

Scott:

I'm just saying that with the pieces coming back, my old Boss you say, when we're going on the golf course he's hitting balls on the range and he goes. You got to dance with the girl you brought.

Announcer:

Exactly. If you're hitting cuts, you're playing a cut.

Graham:

It's just like. I feel like we have the pieces. It's just keep those pieces healthy, add a couple more pieces and if Fields look, if Fields can do what he did in the first six games, I will be totally fine with that. I hope his deep ball gets a little bit better. But, bro O-level will look better.

Scott:

It will dude to the point. And I said this, I've said it a million times okay, fields was in a lose-lose situation. Yes, he started off 4-2,. Okay, Fields was in a lose-lose situation. Yes, he started off 4-2,. Okay. But what's Fields doing in those first six games in training camp? He's doing what he's doing this. He's looking over his shoulder. He's looking over his shoulder.

Graham:

I understand that, but to be fair, go ahead, go ahead, go ahead.

Scott:

He's going into every practice. He's going into every practice, every preseason game, every game going. I have to play perfect.

Graham:

Yes.

Scott:

Having to play perfect versus going into a game, going I can play free is a totally different thing, and that is why, when the Redskins didn't re-sign Taylor, a lot of people were pissed because, remember, they drafted Sam Howe and every time Sam Howe was going to throw a pick, all the fans were going to start doing what? Chanting for Taylor because he was the crowd favorite. So, Russ, coming back healthy, having the Super Bowl win, should have had two, but Pete Carroll was an idiot. Russ, behind you, being hurt is making Fields, not play free.

Graham:

Yes, but the only thing that I will say to all of what you just said is this Russell Wilson, if he doesn't strain his calf in preseason or in training camp, fields doesn't even see the field. He'd be the starter from day one. Fields doesn't even see the field, he'd be the starter from day one. So, like, I get what you're saying and look, obviously it was great to have Fields there, it was great for him to do what he did, but it's just like if Wilson doesn't tweak his calf, he would have been the starter from the beginning and then none of this looking over the shoulder thing would have been a thing. So I, I think, which makes it so much more difficult to assess the situation of those two, which is why, obviously, they can't bring them both back, because number one, russell, wants way too much money. So, obviously, which is why keeping fields would be the way to go and obviously, seeing what fields did in those six games, yes, that looks good.

Graham:

And yes, I do get what you say about Fields looking over his shoulder and all this other stuff. But it's just like, if you're a backup, you know your role right and by knowing your role, you know that you should. I don't say you need to know, you're looking over your shoulder, but as the number two. How many times does the number two come in and then the number one comes back healthy and doesn't come back? Tom Brady, there's only Tom.

Scott:

Brady, he was pretty good.

Graham:

Okay, oh, so the greatest of all time. Oh, I'm sorry he was the number two. The one time he was the number two. I I'm sorry, it was the number two, I'm just saying Homeboy was healthy.

Scott:

Homeboy was healthy for the Super Bowl. Tom Brady wasn't looking over his shoulder, yeah well, that's because Belichick wanted to run the hot end. And how about? Let's don't forget, russell Wilson started off the number two In Seattle. Matt Flynn, the one hit wonder for green Bay, and the meaningless game through for like 7,000 yards in Seattle gives him this massive contract. Yeah.

Graham:

Did he start one game?

Scott:

I don't know, I knew you were going to ask that I don't know he didn't trust me.

Graham:

I know Jeff and I have had this conversation. He didn't.

Announcer:

Trust me. I know, Jeff and I have had this conversation multiple times. Oh, that's right, jeff would know that.

Graham:

Yeah, he's like that's the last jersey I bought. Fuck Matt Flynn, that son of a bitch.

Scott:

Remember the game he played for the Packers and he threw like 7 million yards.

Graham:

Yeah, Dude, he had five touchdowns Like he could literally do no wrong. He had like 400 plus yards and five touchdowns Like he could literally do no wrong.

Scott:

He had like 400 plus yards and five touchdowns. How about another fun one? You get a touchdown. How about another fun one? Matt Castle for the Patriots when Brady got hurt and then the Chiefs signed him, yeah.

Graham:

Look, folks, if you haven't noticed, having a good number two is pretty damn important. I mean, hell ask the Atlanta Falcons, because they're in a situation that they don't have a choice, Like they have to be in the position that they're at right now. They're going to start.

Announcer:

I'm like I almost forgot his name Michael Penix.

Graham:

I know I was like wait, what was his name? They're going to start Penix, but the thing is all of Kirk Cousins' money, it's all guaranteed. So there's no point to cut him. There's no point. No one's going to trade for him and take on that salary. So it's like what are they going to do?

Scott:

Well, they're going to cut him.

Graham:

They have to keep him.

Scott:

No, they're like the Jets.

Graham:

A team like the Giants can sign Kirk to league minimum just like the Steelers did with Russ, but if the dead money is almost the same as what you're paying him anyway and you have a quality and you have him there why wouldn't you keep him? You got to rip the Band-Aid off at some point. Yeah, but then who's their backup? Who got to?

Scott:

rip the Band-Aid off at some point.

Graham:

Yeah, but then who's their backup? Who cares? Rip the Band-Aid off? Yeah, but yes, the Broncos did it. How many quarterbacks started in the league last year? How many different quarterbacks started? I don't know. It was like 50, bro, and there's only 32 teams. I mean, if your number one goes down, you're done. That's what I'm saying. Well, that's why having a good number two is there. That's what I'm saying. It's worth it for them to keep. I get what you're saying.

Scott:

I'm just saying they're not keeping Cousins as their number two with that cap hit.

Graham:

They're going to, I'll going to, I'll gentleman's bet you, right now, let's go Shot on the episode.

Scott:

Kurt Cousins will not be an Atlanta Falcon next year.

Graham:

This year coming up. Yeah, no chance yeah.

Scott:

No.

Graham:

We better write this down somewhere.

Scott:

Write it down to quote a line in one of my favorite movies, and that that is friday, when felicia comes up, I need to borrow your car. He's like no, and she's like I'll remember that. And he's like write it down. Take a picture, I don't give a fuck. There you go, I don't care. And if he does stay with the Falcons, I'll take a shot, because that GM ain't going to be there much longer.

Graham:

Everything I've been hearing says they're probably going to keep him. So I mean A If I lose, I lose. I think I'm going to win it's a shot, who cares?

Scott:

Something I read earlier today you know who could be in the sweepstakes for Sam Darnold. Besides the obvious, what's the obvious, raiders.

Graham:

Raiders. Pittsburgh Jets Giants the team that drafted him Seattle, the Jets.

Scott:

Yeah, could you imagine him going back there? Not a bad spot, not a bad spot, not a bad spot.

Graham:

The thing. All right, we've had this discussion before on the podcast, but let's just quickly go back to it. What's more important Having more money or making more money, or being in a system that you can actually flourish and you can do something in it? Because he is doing diddly squat until this past year and obviously he's not going to stay with the team but he got drafted by the jets.

Scott:

They had nothing. Then he got. Then he went to Carolina. They had nothing. Right, he went to the Niners. He was their backup. Purdy was the starter and then the Vikings signed him. Jj McCarthy was supposed to be the starter Got hurt. Darnold came in Flourished.

Graham:

Yes, what I'm saying is would you take less money to go to a team that you know that you would succeed better with? Is what I'm saying.

Scott:

I don't know, because I will never be in that situation where people are throwing that kind of money at me when I already am set up for life. You know he's already set up for life. I don't know, it's a hard question. You've set up for life. I don't know it's a hard question. Me as a sports enthusiast and you as a sports enthusiast. We're both going to say I want to win. Oh, of course. But I'm also, you know, never been in a situation where I got six teams offering me a shit ton of money.

Announcer:

Right.

Graham:

It's like do I want 40 from you or do I want 32 from you? Whether you're a better team or do? I want 28 from you. It's something to think about.

Scott:

I mean he could succeed as a Jet. They got weapons, they got a defense. Yes, I mean the Jets are better jet.

Graham:

They got weapons, they got a defense. Yes, I mean, the Jets are better now than when he was drafted. 100% Hands down For sure.

Scott:

But the Raiders, they're a couple years away, I mean.

Graham:

I don't see him going.

Scott:

It makes sense because he's young.

Graham:

He's yeah.

Scott:

But I could also see the Raiders with their what are they drafting? Like eight, something like that Seven or eight. I could see them straight up going picking Jenty as a running back and then coming back in the second round and going Dart. I've heard rumors of what's their other tight end's name that they drafted before Bowers Mayer. I've heard them dangling him out there.

Graham:

Yeah, dude, that's crazy. It's so crazy that you forget he was the number one tight end the previous two years ago.

Scott:

Now it's just like oh hey, by the way I'm still good, don't forget about me, and you also I mean Josh Jacobs left them. They need a running back. Yeah, genti would be solid there.

Graham:

Aaron Jones could go there. He was only on a one year deal. Yeah, Jinty would be solid there. Aaron Jones could go there. He was only on a one-year deal. There's backs Plus there's so many backs coming out. That's what I'm saying.

Scott:

It's an amazing running back for us, the speculation of what can happen.

Graham:

That's why it's just.

Scott:

Like Billy said last night and I think I told you I was like dude how are the Steelers not going to extend Najee? I understand the, you know. Is he up for the fifth year?

Announcer:

It's how much money he wants.

Graham:

Is Najee they didn't pay him Right.

Scott:

Fifth year was I was like Billy's, like I'm not joking around, he goes. I really hope Najee goes to the Chargers. I think he could be a good fit there and I'm like, I agree he could be a great fit there Cause he's a he's a gap runner, not his own runner, and yeah, I'm like, but they're not going to pay him that dude with this draft class. This draft class is amazing for running backs. I mean you got homeboy Gentry, but then you got the Hampton dude, hampton from North Carolina, and then you got the two studs from Ohio State.

Graham:

Yeah, I know, but each year the salary cap keeps going up. If the money keeps going up, why can't they afford to pay the running back? How can one position keep getting screwed?

Scott:

Because you have rookies coming into the league having great seasons.

Announcer:

Najee Harris. He's an example, najee.

Scott:

He's had 1,000 yards every season. So why? Because you have rookies dominating.

Graham:

No, I get that, but my point that's not where I was going with this. What I was going to say was this Just making it to the NFL, is you're one of one of 500. Like they, that's just making the NFL is God's gift.

Scott:

Yeah, right A hundred percent.

Graham:

Now, that being said, if it's God's gift just to make the NFL to be the one guy, two guys, are there even three guys that make more than $10 million as a running back, or are there only two?

Scott:

Henry and Saquon.

Graham:

Exactly. So now you're two of. You're the only two. Here's the question If you're a young kid, why would you choose to play running back?

Scott:

It's so funny because I've had this conversation all the time with people.

Graham:

I mean, obviously, look, having the opportunity to get there or even leveraging it to college, and now with the NIL, you can still set yourself up, that's fine and I get it. But also with running back, the injuries, I mean it's just like I'm just thinking of it to myself, where it's just like you will still have the commitment of people that will want to play the position. Yes, I get that. I mean, obviously the game has changed from what it was to what it is now. I get that. But you would have to think percentage wise, the numbers are down and players that want to be running backs versus I mean shit just now, cause all the quarterbacks are so mobile. It's just like. I mean the builds of these guys. I mean all the quarterbacks are so mobile, it's just like I mean the builds of these guys. I mean all the quarterbacks now are what like six, three, six, four, two, oh five, and can run a four four, I'm sorry, like you say, six, three, two, oh five yeah, I may do you know how big josh allen is?

Scott:

do you know how big justin herbert is?

Graham:

no, yeah, those two, but how big is j, daniels?

Scott:

Well, he's not big.

Graham:

That's my point. How big is who the kid? I mean all the runners that are coming out now, All those kids are Maybe. 205 was a re. I meant to say like 215. 220 tops for these quarterbacks. Stand by you know these running quarterbacks. So I'm just saying, like it's just—.

Scott:

Yeah, cam Ward's 6'2" 220.

Graham:

Yeah, okay, 220.

Scott:

So, 215.

Graham:

I misspoke, but I just— Look, I'll say this I can't wait—.

Scott:

Josh Allen's 6'5" 240.

Announcer:

Well, he's a big boy, yeah, thanks.

Graham:

Or, as you like to say, there's a tight end playing quarterback. Motherfucker, I didn't know. A tight end can win the NFL MVP. He shouldn't.

Scott:

Lamar should have won.

Announcer:

Shut the front.

Graham:

No, he should not have. Okay, I mean, he did more with less. That's the MVP. He can't do a tush push, though, or do the tush push, but a different side maybe, I don't know. Don't do it. What you think they're going to do, yo just think about it. I know it's going to be a long night. I mean, we're talking about it. Are we going to do a Draft Day Live episode, or what?

Scott:

We could.

Graham:

What do you?

Scott:

think it's going to be long as shit.

Graham:

Well, we'll have to throw in some other shit while it's going. I know, that's what I'm saying. Are we going to have to just edit the minutes out? I don't know.

Scott:

What we could do which would make more sense is the Steelers pick 21,. The Chargers pick 22.

Graham:

Yeah, just don't want to argue, we could start the episode around pick 16. Right, and then we could talk about what happened prior, and then it lead us up to the downtime during Right.

Announcer:

I like that. I like that I guess I don't know.

Graham:

Look, a lot's going to happen, A lot is in the air.

Scott:

A free agency is going to determine a lot.

Graham:

Oh, oh, 100%. That's what I'm saying.

Scott:

For my squad. We obviously need interior O linemen. We need wide receiver who doesn't yeah Exactly Good point who?

Graham:

doesn't, yeah, exactly.

Scott:

Exactly Good point.

Graham:

We need who doesn't need a Terry Robinson lineman.

Scott:

We need a tight end, we need a wide receiver, you know we need defensive line, but, dude, get Myers from get Myers.

Graham:

They won't trade in the division.

Scott:

No, no, I'm hoping. What I'm hoping is Mark Andrews. It sounds like that would be a move, especially with Ortiz being with the Baltimore Ravens for 26 years.

Announcer:

Yeah.

Scott:

You know, yeah, I think that would be pretty solid. I wouldn't be mad at that.

Scott:

Rob's all over the tight end from Michigan, colton Loveland, just because of continuity between him and Harbaugh and I'm like dude, I'm cool with that if it happens. I mean I don't care who we pick, I mean I want them. You know I have my people that I want to take. But we saw in the playoff game when we got the lead laid to us by Houston what was our weakness the interior line. You know they came right up the middle. So Zion Johnston, our first round guard we picked from Boston College a while ago.

Scott:

The rumor is they're going to give him center snaps in camp and he played center a little bit in college. That would be huge If we could do that. You know Bradley Bozeman I was talking to TP about it the other night. You know as bad as we all picked on Bradley Bozeman. The one good thing about Bradley Bozeman is he didn't miss a game. Yeah, you know, but I I really want, if everybody else is gone, I'd love to have the hampton running hampton kid omarion hampton, from north carolina. He's a bruiser dude, he's six foot, 220 home run hitter. Or the guard from bama, tyler Booker. Those would be my first two plays. Booker would probably be the first one. I mean he's 6'5", 330, and I forget who. Bama's first-round tackle that got picked last year. I forget his name, but some podcast I was listening to said, whatever that guy's name is, that got picked last year should literally give a sign-in bonus to Tyler Booker.

Announcer:

Because Tyler.

Scott:

Booker made him all his money. But like you said, the off-season's fun, the speculation. The Jets just dangled Devontae out on a string to trade. Nobody's trading for him. They're going to have to cut him. You know, the Niners just announced Iuke is available for trade. Nobody's going to trade for Iuke.

Graham:

Right, I mean, look, I think Devontae wants to be cut, to be honest, Of course he does, because then he can pick where he goes.

Scott:

Of course he does, he's either going. I hate to say it. I think there's three places. Devontae would go Three.

Graham:

Pittsburgh, denver or the Chargers.

Scott:

All that shit that he was talking to Patrick Sertani the previous year I don't know how that would go and the Chargers social media when they blasted him in their schedule release thing.

Graham:

Hey, come on down to Pittsburgh please.

Scott:

Or Washington. What do you go with Washington? Could you imagine Devontae, Debo and Scary, Terry and Cliff?

Graham:

Yeah, and you still got Luke McCaffrey.

Scott:

Zach Ertz, I mean where else? I just don't, I don't know, I feel you. T Higgins, I mean I don't even. I think he's going to get franchise tagged, which is which is dumb as shit. Because then you just tagged him last year and gave him 20. Now you got to give him 22. So you just paid the dumbass 42 million for two years. You should have just signed him for four years. Yeah, four years, 50 guaranteed. You're saving money, you morons.

Graham:

The fact that he thinks that he's worth more than 25 a year. The problem is there's too many B-level receivers that got paid money. I'm blaming this all on Christian Kirk from two years ago, to be honest.

Scott:

Dude, you are not wrong. My guy didn't even have a 1,000 yard season and got paid by Jacksonville. Paid Dude Like oh.

Graham:

These receivers.

Scott:

Dude, I don't know, and not only that, I know I'm not taking anything away from T Higgins. Would I want him on the Chargers A hundred percent? If the Chargers went out and signed him and gave him this mega deal, would I be pissed? No, because he would be the. I would be mad about the pay, but he would be the perfect compliment to our offense. You got lad slot and you got him stretching the field. You got Q Quentin, who could be the guy doing the little quick ends which he's supposed to do the yard after catch guy. Would I be pissed? No, because he is the perfect guy.

Graham:

Yeah, do you think Higgins and Devontae would be around the same price?

Scott:

No, because Higgins is $25, $26. Yeah, devontae is going to probably's save a couple bucks. Devontae's gonna probably sign a two year deal. What's he? 31 32 but he still sounds about, right, he still had a season playing for the Raiders and God knows who's throwing to him and then goes to the Jets.

Graham:

Well, yeah, when they're forcing him the ball, I mean when he's literally the only option.

Scott:

Oh, I'm sorry. Who's that tight end? I'm saying the previous year, not like this past year, but I a free agent, wide receiver I would want would be Devontae, if we're going to sign one. No, I agree, I don't want any part of Cooper Cove. I agree, I don't want any part of T Higgins because of the money.

Scott:

Devontae would be the guy I'd want. But anyhow, dude, it's March 2nd. I know right, march Madness right around the corner. We got conference tournaments starting. Some of the little conferences start at the end of this week, then the big ones start next week. Selection Sunday I think is the 16th. But the best news is you know what happens next Saturday or Sunday at 2 am.

Graham:

The fact that you are excited about this is ridiculous. Yeah, it's daylight savings time.

Scott:

I'm a golf pro. It means spring is here. It means late nine holes. It means it's not dark at 6 o'clock, dude.

Graham:

I disagree. You disagree, and by disagree I mean no, I'm just messing with you. I'm just messing with you. I'm just messing with you.

Scott:

I mean I can't wait. I'm tired of cold weather, I'm ready to play some golf.

Graham:

It was like 70 degrees the other day. What are you talking about?

Scott:

It was 70 degrees yesterday and then we had a cold front coming through. Last night. We were literally at the bar and as we're walking out, I like, oh my god, it's freezing, it's 20. Look, 29 degrees here right now.

Graham:

Yeah, I, I, how I I don't understand the climate in your area. I really I told you like it makes no sense southeast.

Scott:

It's the middle atl dude. It could be 70 degrees in December Makes no sense. Or it could be 12. But anyhow, Graham, it's been a fun episode. We got Bay Hill next week. Even though our boy's not playing, we'll still be watching it. I'm vetoing it. We'll still be watching it.

Graham:

I'm kidding, I'm watching it. I'm watching it. I'm vetoing it. We'll still be watching it.

Scott:

I'm kidding, I'm watching it.

Graham:

I'm watching it. I'll still be finding I got to find some action.

Scott:

Yeah, I'll be coming out with the Wasterdamus picks and you know we went one and one this week. It's not a losing week, Not a losing week. Well, that's because you doubled up on Berger. Not a losing week, wow, well, that's cause you doubled up on burger. I didn't tell you that.

Announcer:

Scott:

I told you to top 20.

Graham:

He was in second place at eight under.

Scott:

And the best thing is I sent the. I sent it to Buckeye too. I'm like dude Daniel burger Lowry, top 20. Do it? He texted me last night Like it's my fault that Shane Lowry's in 35th place. You know, I give him a pick.

Announcer:

Scott:

I'm pointing a gun to your head being like you have to bet this. He's like what?

Announcer:

Scott:

What WTF I'm like, bro Eat a bag. Golf is hard, Just like I told you bro.

Graham:

Eat a bag Golf is hard Just like.

Announcer:

I told you last night.

Scott:

You were freaked out about Lowry and I'm like dude, he's going out early, three hours before the leaders, no weather, and what'd he do? He went out and shot four deep, got it done.

Graham:

Shit, hindsight being 20-20,. I wish it would have been Lowry that didn't make the top 20 and it would have been Berger, I'd have been a lot happier. Yeah, but well, this is another episode.
