So, anyways, happy Master's Sunday to you. I'm happy it's over. It was gut-wrenching to say the least for what I could watch. Weekend Stories And Travel Fails

Child, please. I'm just dude, Master's week is over. It's Sunday night. Crazy event. Uh, you know how we always get started. Graham, what'd you do this weekend? What'd you do? I mean, I know you had some family in town, and like you, I was telling Kristen, I'm like, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I'm like, Graham's uncle, dude, was flying into town Friday night, and my guy forgot his driver's license and couldn't get on the plane. I was like, how amazing is that? Is that not Graham 2.0 or 1.0? And she's like, a hundred percent. And I'm like, sorry, uncle, whatever. I had to throw that out there because it was weak as shit. I mean, it I mean, am I wrong? Yes, you're wrong.

Uh the worst part about it was the whole planned trip was really only for two days. You know, get in on Friday, stay all day Saturday, and then leave on Sunday. The fact that they had to reschedule till the next day, and by the time their flight got into town, they got into town around like 1.30 p.m. yesterday. I had to work at four. So it was just, you know, it was unfortunate I didn't get to spend as much time as I wanted to, but it was great seeing them for the amount of time that I did. Uh, my aunt and uncle came. I saw my cousin and his girlfriend also came and stayed with us. My sister flew into town, so it was nice just having the whole family here and uh just getting to celebrate with everyone. Other than that, tried to squeeze in as much of the masters as I could before work, you know, a little bit on the phone on the app during work while I could here and there. But other than that, that was all I was doing. What about you? How was your weekend, brother?

Rory’s Lead And Driver Warning

It was great. Went over to Kristen's parents Friday night, had some dinner with them. Her aunt was in town from Madison, Wisconsin. Uh did that, had to work yesterday, had a little master's event at the club, and then, you know, basically assumed position on the couch today for about five and a half hours once the leaders teed off, and watched the golf tournament. And that was about it, dude. It was a fun weekend, uh, especially after the first two rounds, Rory's got a six-shot lead, the finish amp, starts his masters off 67-65. Six shot lead going to the weekend, largest lead going into the weekend ever. And everybody's like, oh, this shit's over. This shit's over. No, bro, that's why there's 72 holes.

All I'm saying is, you didn't sound so confident, like, oh, Rory's not gonna run away with it, but like, you know, things will happen. Yes, things happened, but like, I just I don't know. I texted today at work when basically the last group started the back nine, and I was like, all right, man, this is where things are gonna happen.

I I mean like I get that, but they're just I don't know, compared to previous years, there wasn't like I mean, it wasn't like the Tiger year where there was a bunch of guys that just like fell apart and Tiger just rose to the top. It was just kind of like, all right, some good players made some bad shots that they normally don't make. Rory didn't play great on the front nine, but had a couple shots, and then he just like woke up. I mean, I heard a stat that basically said, Hopefully, this is not your stat, but basically it was on the back nine, or from like 11 to 18, Rory was 10 under for the week.

13, no, yeah. Yesterday you made a big fat dub on one of the two numbers. So the reason I was telling you Friday night, this shit's not over, even though he's got a six-shot lead, is because of what? And that's because of Rory's driver.

Okay. His putter was hot through the first two days. And I told you Friday night, if he continues to drive the golf ball like this, this is not gonna be a runaway and hide thing. And we saw yesterday, it wasn't, right?

No, I mean he came back down to earth. Yeah. Uh and he gave people a chance. It was like, oh hey, Scotty Scheffler, let's shoot seven under. Hey, a couple other. I mean, there was what what was there, like five guys that shot at least six under bar yesterday? Five or six guys?

I mean, we talked about it last week. The weather forecast for Augusta, Georgia this week was what? Hot, hot, hot, no rain at all. And that's what we saw all week. And like I always say, in every professional golfing event, the look of the wave and the draw of when you tee off has a lot to do with it. And for anybody that doesn't know what I'm talking about, if you tee off early on Thursday, you're teeing off late on Friday, and vice versa. Well, the best wave and draw this year at Augusta was early on Thursday, late on Friday. Yeah. And because the wind kicked up on Thursday afternoon, that golf course was bouncy, balls were bouncing everywhere, and then they threw some water on it Thursday night. And I I don't know, dude. All I gotta say is this, dude. It was a great event. You know, we're not even getting into that the finish yet. Cam Young, you know, you know me, dude. Mancrust, don't know why. I love his golf swing, I love the story. His dad's a golf professional like myself. I didn't pick him in our podcast. I picked Rom, which I'll never do that ever again, uh, as a favorite. Uh just because I knew everybody was gonna be like, oh yeah, Waz gonna pick Cam Young. But dude, Cam Young shoots 40 on his opening nine and then shoots 33 on the back to get it to one over after the first round. And I'm like, all right, he battled right on the back nine. And then I'm literally talking to TP Thursday night, and I'm like, bro, you know who else shot 40 on the front nine when they won her first masters? Uh that guy they call the goat.

And I was going with that all week, dude. All week, all week. I mean, he goes out what I what did he shoot in the second round? I don't know. Shoot 65 yesterday with a with a couple bogeys. The guy was on fire. And I loved it. But I don't know. Rory with his six-shot lead only hitting one fairway on a part five and 90th out of 91 people in driving accuracy. That's scary, right?

Of course. I mean Dude, he had shots that just made up for his mistakes. There was multiple holes that he just, as we like to say, stuck it dick tight. Just like, all right, Ernie.

All I could think about was Zach Johnson winning the Masters. The only player in Masters history to never go for a par five and two and win. And the only reason Rory did that was because he was behind trees and you know, yeah.

LIV Talk And Tournament Surprises

I I just uh I don't know. I mean, it I don't want to say it's the luck of the Irish, you know, just you know hitting some of those trusts. I mean, look, the round three where he chipped in on 17 from 30 yards out. Like it's just when he needed a putt, he made it, but then he also had a few holes that I mean look, today he three putted from from three feet. From three feet. What? So I I it's just like so many things happened, a lot of movement within the first couple of days. I mean, a lot of big names. Booba. Uh how about yeah, my pick to win. Booba. Didn't even see the weekend.

Uh look, Bryson obviously didn't have his best stuff, and I I look, I know historically he doesn't normally play well there, but after how well he played last year and how well he's been playing this year, I just I thought he I mean, look, I thought he was due. At least a top five. I mean, like I said, I picked him to win, and he just looked like I want to say this politely. Shit. He just looked like shit. He didn't want to quit because he he has too much respect for the game, but it's just like it almost felt like there was just nothing he could do and he didn't want to be there.

Hatton played his dick off today to get in the top five. I I don't know, man. I I just Bryson I like the guy now more than I did before he left to go to live. But I just don't understand this shit.

Sunday Chaos Rose And Cam Fade

Oh, yeah. He made it made the cut at even par. Even par. Yeah. Rory's at 12. Yeah. I think Scotty shoots goes seven deep yesterday. Rory shoots one over. And you're like, okay, four. You got Cam and Rory tied heading in the last round. Dude. They both par one. Cam Birdie's two. Rory, they both par three, then Rory three putts from like three feet. Cam's got a two-shot lead. And it was just like, what the hell is going on? Russell Henley's out here dropping bombs, just filling it up. I'm like, oh my lord, Justin Rose is going nuts. I'm like, this is gonna be a day. And you know, after two rounds, everybody's like, oh man, it's gonna be a boring ass weekend at Augusta. Well, it wasn't. It wasn't.

Okay, goes to 12, hits it long and left, and then does something that he never does. And granted, that's the hardest goddamn pitch shot in the world, you know. That ball can get away from you. But for him to hit it 20 feet was like, did he really just do that?

That was the dagger. You know, if he two putts makes Birdie, different story, right? But that was like, oh, that was brutal. And I understand he was being aggressive, trying to make the eagle putt. 100%.

Augusta Obsession And Back Nine Length

Yeah. Right? So we're still talking masters, right? We're sitting here today with Kristen, Ava, and I, and leaders are teeing off. And Ava goes, Dad, I know you're all about the Masters. She goes, What's your favorite? The Super Bowl or the Masters? And I was like, I was like, are the Chargers playing in the Super Bowl? She goes, No, just in general. Even if the Chargers, I'm like, the Masters. And she's like, why would you say that? And I'm like, it's a week. It's four rounds. And I get to go for free whatever day I want. And it's my career. It's golf. 100% Augusta.
